GALDR is a small craft brewery with a big goal, to turn the oldest drink in the world, into the world’s new favourite drink.
GALDR was founded by brothers Andras and Høgni and their friend Petur Elias, who all grew up in the scenic village of Sandavágur in the Faroe Islands. With GALDR, they set out to honor their Norse heritage while creating something entirely new—a modern twist on the world’s oldest drink. By blending their craft with the magic of Norse mythology, they aim to pour a bit of magic into every bottle of mead.
